Well, I'll tell ya all, it was like a horse race for today's category of "Best Sunday Sermon for 11-23-2025.

I'll be brief, as I can hardly take any more excitement today.

First sermon today was from that church down South again, what's its name, you know another one of them Surratt's preaching...

It was a good sermon even though auntie Emma got a little upset. You see, she's been watching too many of them "Downtown Abby" episodes and has sort of taken a liking to Matthew Crawley, despite his undying love for Lady Mary.

Nevertheless, it was almost a complete agreement amongst the whole "Church Board."

Next, of course, we participated in the online service at Times Square Church, and once again there was almost a concession among the "Board," to once again surrender the Award unto Pastor Dilena. It was a remarkable sermon.

Well, then we took a break, and I had to go out and eat a few crickets along with Lamb Chops w/ Mint Sauce, some jalapeño Rice, and the other half of my asparagus from yesterday.

Lastly, I decided to take part in one more church service, a favorite of mine, "HTB in London."

Today, the Vicar was preaching, but he didn't seem as good as I have heard him in the past.

Well, that was until the end when he shot forward as that old Kentucky Derby winner of 2022, "Rich Strike."

I mean, I was almost falling asleep, but then toward the end he came through the stretch with some "wisdom," from C.S. Lewis, passing every other "horse," whom I heard today.

Therefore, the winner of the Award for "Best Sunday Sermon for 11-23-2025," hands down, goes to Vicar Archie Coates, of HTB Church in London.

Rich Strike's 2022 Kentucky Derby Victory

Rich Strike, an 80-1 long shot who only made it into the race the day before as a last-minute replacement, executed a stunning come-from-behind victory.

Key aspects of his win:

Position:

He was last (or near-last) for much of the race, maneuvering through a large field of 19 other horses.

Maneuver:

Jockey Sonny Leon expertly guided Rich Strike along the rail and through traffic, finding an opening in the final stretch to surge past the leaders, Epicenter and Zandon.

Margin of Victory:

He won by three-quarters of a length, pulling clear in the final yards for an unforgettable upset.

The victory is widely considered one of the biggest upsets and greatest come-from-behind stories in the history of the Kentucky Derby.
