Luke 4:18 New Living Translation
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
You know, if you have been reading my web sites very long, I am sure that you have heard me say that, "I believe in America the church has forgotten how to preach a sermon," or perhaps, "I'm not sure that America even has any preachers left in the pulpits."
Well, that was just another reason why I began my "Awards" show, and then began distributing most coveted prizes, "in your dreams," for such categories as "Best Sunday Sermon," for 'such and such' a date.
Nonetheless, I couldn't have ever imagined the huge response in which the show would create.
At last count, I believe there were over fifty readers and that was just within the six continents?
I can't imagine how many more there will be when the results of the Antarctica finally come in. (They are being delivered by dog sled.)
Nonetheless, it has taken a toll on me for this past few weeks. I have had to deal with a number of personal issues and this morning, I just didn't have the energy to do a proper survey of churches in which I usually cover.
Nonetheless, as is the case many times, I have been spared the humiliation once again by "America's Favorite Preacher."
Yes, I am talking about Tim Dilena from that little Pentecostal wood-frame church, just over the railroad tracks, off of Time's Square Boulevard, somewhere in or around New York City?
And what I especially like concerning the fact that by popular demand you have all voted him in as "America's Favorite Preacher," is that he also had spent his early career preaching in Detroit City.
Why, I grew up and was raised in Detroit, and I never ever heard of one of them "Preachers."
That was why It took me months of listening to him before I even believed him?
I thought that he was just "Evangelistic-ally Speaking."
I hope you all know what that is.
Anyway, since my choices were limited tonight, I decided to "post" the "Best Sunday Sermon," for October twelfth. 2025, by a Sermon that I heard a few days ago.
Mr. Dilena was not in town last week, but preaching out there somewhere in California.
Have you ever heard of El Cajon, CA or "Shadow Mountain Community Church."
If I am not mistaken it is another tiny little A-framed wood church out there?
Nonetheless, since he was preaching out in California, I didn't have access to his sermon, yet when I heard it a few days ago, I realized that it ought to get some kind of 'mention,' therefore by my "Poetic License," as author of these sites, I feel as I ought to exercise my right, and move the date up seven days.
I hope this is alright with my massive readership and doesn't offend anyone.

Nonetheless, without further ado,

Well, I am sure that a lot of you had thought that I had given up my Awards Show?" No. The fact is though, that we had a whole lot of controversy and in-house, fighting among the staff and all the "Trustees," of the Board.
I am telling you it was one heck of a week-end. I swear, I was almost ready to throw in the towel, and just to get out of the business.
Here, let be share some of the "issues," with you, and I hope that this will be a lesson for all of those new converts from this "Alpha Generation," so they can prepare for what to expect later on when they begin a ministry.
First, my organization rolled the "O-man and Thump-im" to see which churches Pastors in which we were going to monitor for the week.
One of the churches was a 'Jesus Image,' church and well...in The past I have had a few personality conflicts with the Pastor, so I was a little upset.
Well, we rolled the "O-man and Thump-im" again, but God gave us the exact same churches to monitor.
I felt like Jonah, but finally, I said, "Yes," to the Lord. So, after we monitored quite a number of churches around the Nation, the majority of the Board members voted in the "Preacher," from...yes, You guessed it, the "Jesus Image," church for that Sunday.
The only problem, however, was that she was a "woman." Yes, for goodness sake, we have never ever had a women candidate 'awarded,' the "Best Sunday Sermon Award," for any Sunday.
Nonetheless, I can't tell you how this upset the "Board," nevertheless, in my heart, I felt as if it was time to break with "Tradition," as this young lady preached a powerful message.
Well, I couldn't tell you how many hours that the "Board," was going after each other, yet they finally calmed down enough to ask exactly where this young Lady had come from?
What is her 'History," one asked?
What church did she come from?
You see, most agreed that she was a very good "Preacher," but I think that it was their "Pride," that kept many from fully supporting her. Therefore, as they were getting ready to win some more members over "For," her, one of them asks the question.
Okay, well where did she come from, which type of Church.
Well, I was a little timid in my answer because I knew that there were a number who would have issues with her home church.
That was about the time I started thinking about, "Throwing in the towel, because I was starting to "fear for my life."
And this was my own "Board of Trustees,"if it was someone else's I might have run so as not to have gotten "stoned and left for dead," as the apostle Paul in "The Book of Acts."
So, as a brave soldier, I just let it out, "she's from Bill Johnson's Church up in Redding, California," I said.
I don't know, all I can remember next was that I was under a table, and all kinds of things were flying all over the room?
Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
And although I have lost a few of my Trustees from my organizations "Board," I finally promised God that I wouldn't quit and would continue with my "Awards Show."
Nonetheless, I just felt as if I owed my readers an explanation, as to why I am announcing early Wednesday morning the Award, for "Best Sunday Sermon," for October 19, 2025, this late.
Also, I should probably mention that if it wasn't for the incredible 'worship' of David and Nicole Binion, Ms. Braun might not have been awarded her due.
You see, my 'Religious Board Members," are just like a lot of your 'Religious Board Members,' full of evil spirits.
Nonetheless, since they were forced to listen to the whole service, I believe that the "Binions," helped to drive out all of those wicked spirits residing in them and though I only lost a couple through the whole ordeal I think that it strengthened us spiritually as an organization, as each, "Board Member," was being delivered.
Enjoy, it was a wonderful service:
